How to create an email signature in Gmail
This article shows you how to create or add a signature in Gmail. You can set up customize your email signature in Gmail such as font styles, colors, images, links, etc.
How to add a signature in Gmail
Step 1: Go to Gmail and log into your Gmail account.
Step 2: Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner and select Settings.
Step 3: In the General tab, scroll down to Signature and click the text box.
Step 4: Enter your signature. You can use the format toolbar to change font styles, colors, add images, or links, etc.
You can also select to Insert this signature before quoted text in replies and remove the "--" line that precedes it.
Step 5: Scroll to the bottom and click Save Changes.
Now when you compose a message, the signature will be automatically added to your email. You can edit or remove it before sending.
On Mobile (Android, iOS)
Step 1: Open the Gmail app on your device.
Step 2: Tap ☰ in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Step 3: Scroll down and tap Settings.
Step 4: Select the account that you want to add an email signature.
Step 5: Scroll down and tap Signature (Android) or tap Signature settings and tap the slider to the far right of Signature (iOS).
Step 6: Type your signature and tap OK (Android) or < (iOS) to save your changes.
Note: You can only add plain text to the mobile signature.
