How to change the default Google account?

By using Google's multiple sign-in feature, you can easily sign in to different Gmail accounts and switch between them. The default account is the first one you logged in with. This article shows you how to change or set the default Google account when you use the multiple sign-ins.

Step 1: Go to https://www.google.com/ or https://www.gmail.com/.

Step 2: Click the profile icon in the upper-right corner.

Step 3: Click Sign out to log out of all Google or Gmail accounts.

Step 4: Go to https://www.gmail.com/ and log into the account you want to set as default.

Notes:

The account you sign in to first is the default or primary account in your multiple Gmail accounts list. 

On mobile devices, your default Google account may vary depending on the operating system as well as the app you use.

Step 5: Once you're logged into your primary or default account, click the profile icon in the upper-right corner and select Add account.

Step 6: Add other Google accounts by entering your email address and click Next. Then, enter your password and click Next.

Now you can switch between your accounts by clicking your profile icon and select the account you want to use.
