How to block or unblock someone on Gmail?
If you're getting emails you don't want in your inbox, you can block that Gmail sender. This article shows you how to block or unblock someone on your Gmail account.
How to block someone on Gmail
Step 1: Go to Gmail and login to your Gmail account.
Step 2: Open an email from the sender that you want to block. You can enter their email or person's name in the search box at the top to look for their emails.
Step 3: Click the down arrow in the top right of the sender name (classic Gmail) or (new Gmail).
Step 4: A drop-down list will appear. Click Block "Sender Name".
Step 5: Click Block to confirm your action.
What happens when you block someone on Gmail?
Once you block someone in Gmail, all messages from that person will be moved into the Trash folder instead of your Inbox. They won't be notified of your actions. However, they may still find out that you are blocking them if they fail to send you a message or if they keep sending you messages requesting your response and you don't give one.

How to unblock someone on Gmail
Step 1: Open Gmail and login to your Gmail account.
Step 2: Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner of the page.
Step 3: Select Settings.
Step 4: Select Filter and Blocked Addresses.
Step 5: Find the person that you want to unblock and click Unblock to the far right of his/her email address and you're all done.
If you signed up on a site that sends lots of emails like newsletters or promotions, etc, you can unsubscribe to stop getting these junk emails.
How to unsubscribe from mass emails
Step 1: Open Gmail and login to your account.
Step 2: Open an email from the sender that you want to unsubscribe from.
Step 3: Click Unsubscribe or Change preferences. It's next to the sender's name. If you don't see these options, follow the steps above in order to block the sender or mark as spam.
