Gmail Import Contacts by CSV
You can import your address books (from Outlook, Hotmail, Yahoo! Mail, and other email services) into Gmail, or transfer contacts between Gmail accounts. Follow these steps to know how to import contacts into Gmail.

Step 1: Format your contacts as a CSV file.

You can only import up to 3000 contacts at a time. If you have more than 3000 contacts, you'll need to create multiple CSV files to upload.
Step 2: Go to Gmail and log into your account.
Step 3: Go to the old Google Contacts page. The new version of Google Contacts doesn't support importing contacts from CSV files.
Step 4: Click More and select Import... from the drop-down menu.
Step 5: Click Choose File.
Step 6: Select the CSV file that is available on your computer and click Open.
Step 7: Click Import.
Wait for a few seconds for your contacts to be imported.
When it's done, Gmail will display the number of contacts imported. If you receive any error messages during the import, you might need to edit your CSV file.
Import contacts from other providers such as Hotmail, Outlook, Yahoo into Gmail
Step 1: Go to Google Contacts.
Step 2: You will be required to log into your account if you aren't already signed in.
Step 3: In the left menu, click More and select Import...
Step 4: Select the email services whereby you want to take the contact list to transfer to your Gmail account.
Step 5: Click I agree, Let's Go!.
Step 6: Sign into the other email account.
Step 7: Click Agree to let Shuttle Cloud Migration help you import contacts.
Wait for a few seconds and you will find the imported contact in your address book or contact list.
