Forward specific Gmail messages to another account automatically
Follow steps below if you want to forward all of your new emails or certain types of emails to a specific email address. You can only set up automatic forwarding on your computer.
How to automatically forward all new messages to someone in Gmail
Step 1: Go to Gmail and log into your Gmail account.
Step 2: Click the Gear icon at the top right and select Settings.
Step 3: Click Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
Step 4: Click Add a forwarding address.
Step 5: Enter a new forwarding email address and click Next.
Step 6: Click Proceed and click OK.
Step 7: A verification message has been sent to to the new forwarding email address. You will sign into that email address and open a new email sent by the Gmail Team. Then, click the verification link in that message.
Step 8: Click Confirm.
Step 9: Refresh your browser and go to the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
Step 10: Click the button next to Forward a copy of incoming mail to.
Step 11: Choose what would happen with the Gmail's copy of your emails.
Step 12: Scroll to the bottom and click Save Changes.
Done! You may now forward emails to that new forwarding address.
Note: You can only forward all of your emails to one account, not an email group or alias.
How to forward only certain types of messages to another account
Step 1: Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner and select Settings.
Step 2: Click Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
Step 3: In the Forwarding section, click creating a filter.
Step 4: Set up your filter and click Create filter with this search.
Step 5: Check the box next to Forward it to and select a forwarding email address.
Alternatively, you can click add forwarding address to add a new email address if your forwarding email address is not in the list.
Step 6: Select other options for your filter and click Create filter.
Note: Spam emails won't be forwarded.
